City News Service will:
- Tell you what has just happened with detailed full news stories about breaking events.
- Tell you what's going to happen a day, or week, before scheduled news events take place.
When news happens in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside or San Diego counties, CNS will carry the story. And when there's major breaking news, CNS will first transmit an advisory -- a short one or two paragraphs with alarms -- letting you know that something of an urgent nature has happened.
For scheduled events, the CNS Budget is relied upon by Southern California media as the only source of information about upcoming news. Not only does the Budget include government meetings, entertainment events with Hollywood stars, news conferences and speeches, the Budget also is the only source for readily accessible information about major court cases. CNS carries separate Budgets for Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties.
There's a separate Entertainment Budget as well as advance Budgets for each week for each county listing top scheduled stories for the coming week.
